Youth Sailing Activities

Our Youth Sailing Chairman, Gene Beville, stays very busy organizing the Youth Sailing program for the Pacific Corinthian Youth Foundation (PCYF). Through structured competitive sailing events, PCYF teaches young sailors responsibility, self-confidence, perseverance, and respect for Mother Nature and the environment.

If you're around the harbor weeknights during the summer and on the last weekend of each month, you will delight in the enthusiasm of our junior racers as they enjoy participating in PCYF activities.

AYC is very proud of our junior racers, who have lots of fun racing Sabots, Lasers, FJs, and Lido 14s up and down the coast of Southern California. Many of our sailors have achieved significant success along the way, placing their names on various perpetual trophies! Several of our more experienced youth sailors have also volunteered their time and energy to help as instructors for the beginning students.

We appreciate all the AYC member support of the Youth Foundation. But we can always use more help. If you're interested in getting involved, please contact Gene Beville.

Good luck to all our youth sailors during the upcoming racing season!
