As many of you may have heard, the time nears to say good bye to our beautiful AYC clubhouse after forty two years of wonderful times. We were told that we wouldn't likely need to move for a year or two, and then we were informed that May 1 was the final day.
There is some uncertainty as to the exact schedule and outcome of our metamorphosis, but we are absolutely positive that we will continue the AYC tradition of the best racing and festivities.
If we are out of our club house for the first Wet Wednesdays starting May 6, we plan on accepting The Lobster Trap's offer to use their facilities for our WW dinner and awards. My understanding is that they will offer special drink prices in keeping with WW traditions, as well as a special food menu just for our guests. THE PARTY WILL GO ON! We will continue our AYC tradition of drawing for crew prizes, so even if things didn't work out on the water there is still a good chance of coming out a winner.
We will continue our entire racing program in what we hope is our enjoyable (for all of you, as well as all of us)!
We look forward to seeing you all this summer, and hope you will stand by us as we transition through this major and sudden adjustment period in the AYC activities schedule.
We are working hard to make arrangements for our new clubhouse as soon as possible. We will certainly keep you informed as to our plans as soon as we are certain of them ourselves. See you there.
